California PSA's mission is to serve as an advocate and spokesman for its members. In that capacity California PSA seeks to keep its members informed of legislative and regulatory developments affecting them and to provide a forum through which the industry can review and respond to these developments.

California PSA's activities serve to help its members better serve federal, state and local governments by the underwriting and distribution of securities to raise capital for financing and expanding public facilities and activities and to enable the public securities industry to serve investors by maintaining vigorous public securities markets.

California PSA provides a unified association for the Public Securities industry to achieve its objectives through the following actions:

I. Advance the common interests of its members

II. Maintain a liaison with other sectors of the securities industry

III. Inform its members of relevant legislative and administrative developments on the state and local levels

IV. Provide a forum for its members to examine and review governmental developments

V. Provide a clearinghouse for the exchange of ideas

VI. Conduct research and disseminate information of value to its members

VII. Provide and encourage improved educational and public relations services for its members

VIII. Assist members in the solution of common problems and in the development of new management, operational and communications techniques and assist in maintaining high standards of service and performance

IX. Represent the industry effectively in state and local legislative and administrative matters
